An honest review workflow for Wellington real estate agents

Make feedback easy to offer and safe to decline. A consistent invitation process is more useful than trying to engineer the words clients put in a review.

Choose one fair invitation milestone

Decide when every eligible client receives the same neutral invitation, such as a consistent stage after the transaction process. Do not decide based on whether you expect praise. Assign an owner so invitations do not depend on which agent remembers to send them.

Explain that honest feedback is welcome and entirely optional. A short message can identify the brokerage or business, thank the person for their time and link to the review destination. Do not offer a reward or suggest neighborhood names, transaction details or compliments to include.

Keep the process separate from the review

Your internal tracking sheet needs an anonymous client reference, invitation date, channel, permission status where applicable and whether a reminder was sent. It does not need a score predicting who will leave five stars. Use your approved business system for private contact details.

If you choose a reminder, define a restrained rule in advance and apply it consistently. Respect requests not to be contacted. Marketing texts require the appropriate channel consent, sender identification, opt-out handling and a way to reach a person; an existing client relationship alone should not be treated as blanket permission.

Protect the transaction in public replies

Do not repeat a home's address, sale price, family situation or details of a negotiation in a public response. A reviewer sharing something does not mean the business should amplify it. Thank people generally and invite specific concerns into a private conversation.

Have staff check the review link on a phone and verify that it belongs to the right business. Test that opt-outs remain suppressed after a contact list is reimported. Those small operational checks prevent an otherwise friendly process from becoming frustrating.

Put local expertise on your own pages

Explain the Wellington areas and property work you genuinely know, your process and accurate licensing or brokerage information on pages you control. Use evidence you have permission to publish. Do not ask clients to supply search phrases on your behalf.

Reviews are one possible public source among many. There is no known number or wording formula that guarantees an AI recommendation. Evaluate the workflow by its consistency, respectful delivery and ability to surface feedback your team can act on. That keeps the purpose of reviews grounded in real client experience.
